Before joining the Ph.D program, I worked in the consumer goods and telecommunications industries in India for about a decade in various sales and marketing roles.
I have handled various national and regional roles in PepsiCo India. I started out a sales manager in the beverages division and moved on to handle the rural distribution channel for India. After that, I headed Customer Marketing for the organized trade channel nationally for the foods division. I was the Key Account Manager for Walmart during their initial days in India. I also worked as a sales manager for Bharti Airtel, India's leading telecommunications service provider at that time.
My passion for learning and knowledge generation eventually brought me to academia. I am motivated to work on research problems that are managerially important.
